The Third Conference of CPC Representatives of ZJNU has worked out the two-step strategic goals for its future development.

The first step: From now through 2006,the 50th anniversary of ZJNU,to realize its initial transformation from a traditional normal university to a teaching -and research-oriented ont that is characterized by teacher education,a high research ability,and a comprehensive structure of specialties and disciplines.

The second step: From 2006 through 2020,to keep pace with Zhejiang's development by achieving its modernization,and to rank among China's best universities in kind.
